Fire-Away is an Australian family company that came about almost by accident in 2014. Brothers Paul, an architectural graduate, and Daniel, a medicine student, were procrastinating from study when they decided to pursue the idea of a fire pit cut from sheet steel. Between Paul’s creativity, Daniel’s production knowledge and a series of prototypes and field tests, the concept of an interlocking sculptural fire pit was realised.
The design incorporates three identical pieces of steel, interlocking one by one to support each other and create a cantilevered, sculptural form. Available in various sizes, they are designed as permanent features for beautifully landscaped gardens and courtyards. Proudly Australian made from heavy-duty mild steel, Fire‑Away fire pits will naturally weather, establishing a bronzed outer layer of rust while maintaining structural integrity for a lifetime of outdoor enjoyment.
